We are having some phenomenal weather this Autumn. Our last rainfall was a week ago and there isn’t a drop on our horizon for at least the next 10 days. I’m tapping our hardwood floors as I type this… I certainly wouldn’t want to jinx our good fortune. And besides the dryness, we’re cruising in the low 60’s on the thermometer. Of course, this is all prologue to the coming effects of global warming – the upper Willamette Valley in Oregon is well positioned with the perfect Shangri-latitude.

Logan is beyond walking – he’s now booking around the house (inside and out) at a very high rate of speed. Thankfully, he is still slightly slower than the shutter speed of our 5 year old camera. Looks like we’re going to need a faster machine soon!

We returned to Old Macdonald Farm (that really is the name) for our annual pumpkin pickin. Most of the goods were gone but we still managed to grab a big one. The boys played with the farm animals, threw horseshoes, got lost in a hay maze, and wolfed down some burgers and hot dogs roasted on an open fire pit.

This fella is on our front porch for Halloween. He spends most of his time in our basement in a holiday bin, so he very much looks forward to getting out and stretching for a few weeks out of the year. He enjoys photography, gourmet meals, and long walks on the beach at dusk.
