Tipping Point

Mt. Hood at sunset… captured 20 yards from our house.  A high tide of clouds rolled in to cover most of the mountain, but the summit remained – appearing as an island!  Pinks and blues swirled the sky above as western twilight battled a bright moon hanging low on our eastern horizon.

Tornado Season

Haley started his first season of soccer this month. He’s whipping up a storm playing for the Tornadoes, a 7-strong outfit that runs circles around fearing opponents. Actually, when you get past the ‘bunching’ strategem that seems instinctual in a herd of of 6-and-under beasts, there really is a budding bounty of buddies taking root. [...]

1st Grade… 1st Day

New school.  New grade.  New teacher.  Sound scary?  Apparently someone forgot to tell Haley to be nervous.  He bounced out of bed, gobbled down his traditional inaugural breakfast, and soon after he was strutting down the halls of grade school like he owned the joint.  As I said goodbye, the tears were in my eyes.
