Freedom’s Price

Filed under: Haley, MemorialDay — Sean Mulvihill @ 11:41 am

I had a good talk with Haley about freedom and the value of it. He is aware that American soldiers are fighting in battles across the globe. While we don’t think it’s appropriate to explain our political and moral aversion to war, Tasha and I still feel strongly that the boys need to appreciate the valor and sacrifice that all soldiers and their families give to the world. After playing with his Army men, Haley grabbed an American flag and ran around the front of the house waving it to passerbys. His Ampa Richard and Amma Margee were in town and Ampa Richard explained to Haley the importance of keeping the American flag from touching the ground.

Happy Birthday, Amma Megan!

Filed under: Haley, Logan, Relatives — Sean Mulvihill @ 6:58 pm

The boys got up early today to pose for some birthday pictures for their Amma Megan. Haley picked out his own clothes, brushed his teeth, and even combed his hair. Logan only has 2 teeth, little hair, and required extensive help getting into his britches… but he was equally excited for birthday pictures. Even Boo-Boo wanted to participate! Later in the day, Logan kept crawling towards the afternoon light (he was actually focused on the front screen door). He grew a big grin when his bro-bro and mamma arrived. We called Amma Megan and sang to her “Happy Birthday”.

Catcher in the Rye

Filed under: Baseball, Haley — Sean Mulvihill @ 9:46 am

Haley never met a costume he didn’t like. Whether it’s Halloween, Star Wars’ reenactments, or a Saturday little league game, you can be sure he wants to play the part that includes dress-up. In game eight of our season, Haley was chosen to be catcher in the first inning. What a natural! I think the best part about the pictures of him behind home plate… is the tee.

Tooth Fairy… Here I Come

Filed under: Logan — Sean Mulvihill @ 9:01 am

Logan was all smiles today, showing off his new fangs. Of course it hasn’t been easy to snap pictures of them since most of the time recently he’s battling the pain from their arrival. Wow, teeth grow fast! We just felt the first one at the beginning of May and already another has popped out. Logan seems to understand his teeth are a source of power. He often growls at his toys just before biting into them and he also growls while chewing on them.
